About me
Dr. Hsu received her PhD degree in geology from University of Southern California. She also earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Gemology from China University of Geosciences (Beijing). After joining GIA in 2012, she has been a major contributor to gemology content development and started to lead the content development team in 2019. In addition to content generation, Dr. Hsu is also responsible for the professional development of gemology faculty. At the same time, she has served as the technical editor of Gems & Gemology since 2012. She and her team are in the process of revising the GIA Pearls course.
