About me
Dr. Hsu received her PhD degree in geology from University of Southern California. She also earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Gemology from China University of Geosciences (Beijing).
After joining GIA in 2012, Dr. Hsu has been a major contributor to gemology content development and began leading the content development team in 2019. She is also responsible for the professional development of gemology faculty, and she has served as the technical editor of Gems & Gemology since 2012. She and her team are in the process of revising the GIA Pearls course.
