About me
I spend my day at the microscope deciphering a piece of jewelrys' history by adding up the clues from all it's parts.. Each piece we handle has its story. The metals it was created from, the gems that embellished it, and how the metalsmith put it all together with the technology of the times absolutely fascinate me. The discoveries, societal changes, and demands of fashion that shaped the design of the pieces add to the narrative. Narrative doesn't necessarily give us a solid date of the piece but, by bouncing all factors together we can at least give a circa.
Out of my work environment I tutor for the Gemologcial Association of Great Britain, play a lot of soccer, and live, love, and laugh with my family.
