Lenny Prion is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the retail jewelry industry. For more than 20 years, Lenny has served as Director of Operations and Education for The Edge, helping jewelry retailers improve operations, inventory management, customer engagement, and overall business performance.
Lenny began his career in Information Technology, specializing in technical support, before discovering his passion for working directly with people and educating retail jewelers. With more than 25 years of experience in jewelry retail software, he brings a unique combination of technical expertise and real-world retail knowledge. His background includes over a decade of hands-on experience both on the sales floor and behind the scenes in jewelry store operations.
Throughout his career, Lenny has remained deeply involved in the jewelry industry through organizations such as Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) and Retail Jewelers Organization (RJO), where he was recognized as one of the first members of the RJO 100+ Club. After completing his term on the RJO Vendor Advisory Committee, Lenny now serves on the RJO Foundation Board, continuing his commitment to supporting education and advancement within the jewelry industry. He is also a member of the American Gem Society (AGS) Partner Advisory Council.
As Director of Operations and Education, Lenny has trained and consulted with jewelry stores across the United States, Canada, and beyond. He provides both in-store and remote training, helping retailers implement best practices for sales, inventory control, customer relationship management, reporting, and overall store management. Over the years, he has organized and led nearly 50 highly attended regional training events and educational seminars.
Lenny is also a frequent speaker at local, regional, and national jewelry industry conferences, where he shares practical insights on retail operations, technology, staff productivity, inventory performance, and business growth strategies. His combination of technical knowledge, operational experience, and passion for education has made him a respected voice within the retail jewelry community.
