Jason Quick is Senior Director of Diamond Cut Research at GIA, where he leads research and development initiatives focused on diamond grading standards, light performance, and cut design. With more than 20 years of leadership in diamond research, he has played a key role in advancing how diamond quality and performance are understood and evaluated.
Previously, Jason served as Executive Director of the American Gem Society Laboratories, where he helped lead the development of the AGS Light Performance Cut Grade system, a milestone in modern diamond grading.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he also conducted research at the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science. His work reflects a blend of mathematics, computational modeling, and design.
