Emily is the owner of Emily Chelsea Jewelry, an alternative jewelry design shop in Philadelphia, PA. ECJ focuses on custom designed rings and fine jewelry. Emily started Emily Chelsea Jewelry in 2015 and opened her retail store in 2021. She built the brand on her own personal values, focusing on ethical sourcing, human rights and equality.
When it comes to sourcing practices, Emily Chelsea Jewelry
takes pride in knowing exactly where every part of their jewelry comes from, working only with materials that are either recycled or from known, ethical origins. ECJ is an active supporter of initiatives and organizations that are working to improve the lives of miners, such as Marange Women’s Alliance, Pure Earth, Better Without Mercury and The Mercury Free Mining Challenge.
With their vocal support of LGBTQ+ rights, Emily Chelsea Jewelry offers an inclusive and unassuming shopping experience to all customers. ECJ does not use gender pronouns or typical “engagement ring” and “men and women’s wedding bands” titles to categorize their rings as they believe that anyone can wear any ring.
