About me
Elyssa Jenkins Pérez is dedicated to advancing responsible business practices, industry collaboration, and greater inclusion across the global jewelry and watch industry. She serves as Head of North American Development at the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), the world's leading standards-setting organization for the jewelry and watch industry. RJC represents more than 2,100 member companies across 74 countries committed to responsible business practices from mine to retail.
Elyssa is the Co-Founder and Board President of the Black in Jewelry Coalition (BIJC), the first international non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of Black professionals across the gem, jewelry, and watch industry.
She also serves on the Advisory Council of the Community for Ethical Jewellery, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing responsible jewelry practices, materials transparency, and sustainability throughout the industry.
Prior to joining RJC, Elyssa spent more than six years at the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) as Director of Membership and Marketing, where she led membership growth, engagement, and educational initiatives focused on legal compliance and responsible business practices.
